New Release - 2D - Soundboy Chronicles

TGI to the F, it's freakin Friday! Keeping your earholes filled with big bass-lions, 2D is back again with his latest release "Soundboy Chronicles" bringing us three more tasty treats.

2D has had a string of well received releases on Resin Records with his own brand of sunshine Ska and Dub Breaks. For his latest offering, 2D slows down the pace and strips back the beats producing a trio of power slam tracks each with it's own unique dancefloor intensity. Deep and dirty b-lines, stuttering drums and a galatial palate of musical influences are thrown into the mix creating a wild ride into the abstract world of the one they call 2D.

First up is "Definition Of" which opens with huge Hip-Hip strings and vox making way into a grooving and grimey bassline with just enough wobble to keep you on your toes. Finesse sampling and natural sounding drums give a very realistic and live feel to this jam.

"Voodoo Night" is up next kicking things off with dubby horns and major Reggae flavor bringing you back to the old school but only part way as the talking bass keeps you firmly planted in the present for a great mix of times gone combined with the here and now, it's hooka time!

"Smokers" featuring MC Metod rounds out the package with some more Jamaican flavor. Bring back the horns and drop the rewind but never smoke the seed or the talking robots will get you!
