Exclusive Interview & Free Tune - Scott Remedy

Hidey ho neighbors, I apologize for a bit of a lack of content this week, we were having some internet issues here at the studio. We have had some spiffy new wiring installed so it's all gravy now. Kicking things back into gear for us is long time staple to NSB Radio, Scott Remedy. The windy city native hosts "Breakbeat Chicago weekly on Friday nights and when he's not throwing down some proper cover action, Scott is keeping himself locked in his liar perfecting his craft.
Today we have Deekline & Ed Solo's wicked tuna "Blowout" the Deekline & Product 01 Remix with Scott Remedy on the Re-Rub up for grabs. Scott adds a clean break to the 4/4 business and some slick change-ups, edits and fills. Retaining the original feel and wobbling bassline, this is a must have for the Breaks heads.
Amidst his busy schedule, Scott took some time out to give us his version of the Kick It 12. Check out what he had to say below and head on over to his Soundcloud page for a gang load of free rubs, edits and more.

The Kick It 12 - Scott Remedy Edition

1. – At what age did you first find yourself gravitating towards electronic music and who were some of the artists outside of Electronic music that influenced that?
Nine Inch Nails definitely assisted me in my move toward electronic music.

2. – What was your very first Album? How about CD?
First Album I got was Disco Duck on vinyl. First underground album was Josh Wink – Higher State. The first CD that I bought was probably Tesla – 5 Man Acoustic Jam.

3. – How did you first get involved with the Electronic music culture and what was the first event that you attended?
I got interested in the early 90’s. Great things were popping out of central Florida in the electronic scene then and it was hard to ignore. The first event for me was probably a DJ Battle at Marz in Cocoa Beach.

4. – Where was your favorite gig that you have had to date?
The ocean-side rooftop NSB Party at WMC ’09 was spectacular.

Keith MacKenzie, Deekline, and Icey

6. - Where would you most like to play that you have not yet?
The U.K.

7. - What is your favorite tune you have released?
Fire Motivator, but its not quite out yet. Some of my bootleg remixes have been fun to play, too.

8. - Who is your favorite EDM artist? How about outside of EDM?
Rabbit in the Moon, I’ve always loved how he puts tunes together.

9. - Who are some artists you would like to collaborate with in the future?
Bieber.

10. - What is your preferred software for producing? Hardware?
Cubase, and I have a Moog Little Phatty that I love to make noises on.

11. - What life lessons has the music industry taught you?
Don’t trust guys named Justin.

12. – What does the future hold for Scott Remedy?
Hopefully producing tunes with Bieber. (Call me!)
